| Canton's Lord George
Foaled March 10, 1992, "George" has enjoyed both pleasure driving shows and competitive driving events. He was first in the 1994 Dixie Cup Two-Year-Old Stallion class. At the November 2000, Big Bear Driving Trial he was first in preliminary dressage. At each of the Volunteer Morgan and Open Shows in 2000 through 2002 George won the "Justin Morgan Look Alike" class. He also was shown at the Nashoba Carriage Classic with great success from 1999 to 2001. Canton’s Lord George assumed the role of senior stallion in April 2004 at the death of Lord Canton. The following quote from Shakespeare embodies the aura that George exhibits: “I might call him a thing divine; for nothing natural I ever saw so noble." From 1997 through 2002 "George" enjoyed both pleasure driving shows and competitive driving events. At the November 2000, Big Bear Driving Trial he was first in preliminary dressage. At each of the Volunteer Morgan Shows in 2000 through 2002 George won the "Justin Morgan Look Alike" class. In 2007 George ventured into a new career. He is now being trained in ridden dressage. He was shown at the USDF sanctioned “Ole South Dressage Classic” at Training Level and in the breed division where he was reserve Senior Stallion and qualified for the National USDF breed show. He is a willing student and is as much a joy to ride as to drive. George is kind,
intelligent and willing and his foals exhibit the typical Morgan disposition,
conformation and presence that you expect in a true SPORT Morgan. His
breeding is primarily Brunk with the heritage of Senator Graham evident
in each foal produced at Toddy Hollow Farm.
George has been bred to a Percheron mare for an April 2008 foal. In addition
one of George’s sons, CLG Benchmark has been bred to Canton’s
Bon Temps for another April 2008 foal. Stud fee is $750; LFG for Morgan Mares, private treaty for others; with cooled semen transport available. Collection and shipping additional. Please contact us for more breeding information.
